Eugene Robinson Breaks Out the Presidential Knee-Pads

Washington Post columnist Obama-fluffer Eugene Robinson — perhaps hoping to be invited to Martha’s Vineyard for the next presidential vacation — is gushing about what a fabulous job his super-duper president is doing.

This is a radical break from journalistic convention, I realize, but today I’d like to give credit where it’s due — specifically, to President Obama. Quiet as it’s kept, he’s on a genuine winning streak.

First of all, gushing about how great Obama is is hardly a break from journalistic convention. But look at what Eugene “Nina Burleigh” Robinson cites as Dear Reader’s accomplishments:

  • “Last U.S. combat troops leave Iraq”
  • “Gulf oil spill contained”
  • “General Motors to launch stock offering”

The Iraq Victory and Withdrawal is a product of the Bush/Petraeus surge that Obama opposed. The oil spill was capped by BP while Obama impeded clean up efforts and put 20,000 oil workers out of work. And GM just introduced a $41,000 car that’s so crappy it takes a $7,500 Government subsidy to get anyone to buy it.

And these are Obama’s glorious accomplishments?

Being a WaPo columnist requires willful blindness and advanced fluffing skills
