How to Piss Off the MFM

If you ever really feel the need to piss off America’s blow-dried, air-headed, media elites… gathering 300,000 (or so) patriots on the mall in Washington DC to talk about Faith, Patriotism, and American Greatness is an excellent start.

Doug Ross has a good round-up of the media venom spewed at Glenn Beck and rally attendeees yesterday, topped perhaps by the New York Times reliably doctrinaire race-baiting Marxist Bob Herbert.

Mr. Beck is an ignorant, divisive, pathetic figure… Beck is a provocateur who likes to play with matches in the tinderbox of racial and ethnic confrontation.

Which seems like a hell of a way to describe an event at which Martin Luther King’s niece was a speaker, and which culminated in 300,000 people singing God Bless America.

And the Prize for  Most Appropriately Named Beck-Hater goes to NAALCP president Ben Jealous:

NAACP President Benjamin Todd Jealous, speaking at the “Reclaim the Dream” rally Saturday, castigated the message of the Glenn Beck rally across town in Washington.

That message being: America is a great country, we need to turn back to God, and our soldiers deserve our support.

I know, radical, right?

BTW, the MFM is pegging attendance at 87,000; but they seem to have had some rather significant problems getting basic facts right yesterday.

That's not Sarah Palin, that's not how you spell Sarah Palin, and that was not Sarah Palin's role in the 2008 election. Well-played CNN.

Ed Driscoll notes how the Washington Post chose to downplay the numbers at the event through strategic photograph selection.

It didn’t bother any of these elites when Obama’s creepy cult put 80,000 people into a stadium in front of a Greek Temple set to chant “Yes, we can” and “Obama,” back in 2008. In fact, IIRC, it gave them tingles up their legs.
